Got back from my doctor visit and I don’t have Hashimoto’s!!! Doctor was thinking that it was a possibility because my TSH readings kept jumping from high to low, a tall-tale sign. However, I may not have Hashimoto’s but it seems I do have Hypothyroidism. Even on the low dose of medication my TSH was reading a little high. So he is upping my dose. Ug, I hate getting use to a medication. More good news though, if it adjust my thyroid then perhaps a lot of my typical problems will get resolved. Yay!

I’m really relieved that I do not have Hashimoto’s though. I was going to be really mad if I ended up with another Auto Immune disease. The things I read about that one did not sound fun. Doctor thinks that it was going up an down now because of all the stress I was having with my stomach problems and that painful surgery. orz

Oh, and new layout again. This one I like a lot and will probably keep for a long time.

I’m really working harder on my FODMAP diet. It is frustrating at times, there are a lot of things that seem like they would be good for me but then I read the labels and shake my head. Not to mention a few fruits that I’m not allowed to have they they tend to use for a lot of things such as…


Damn that evil fruit! I wouldn’t care if I didn’t have to eat another apple (don’t really care for them) but when I look at the ingredients on a lot of things, they add apple stuff in their product! I was getting so annoyed. I even looked at this one sweet that was suppose to be strawberry flavor and it was practically all apple stuff! I don’t even think it has strawberry stuff in it! Weird!

Not that I can really have any of that anyway, but I am sad about no peaches. I love peach season. Sniff

I’m going to try hard to follow this and then slowly bring back things to see how I react to them. I even added an app to my phone so that when I go grocery shopping I can look stuff up to see if it is on my good list or bad list. It will take a while to remember.

Apple, Peach, Avocado, Cherries, Garlic, Artichokes, Okra, Cabbage, Onion, Wheat, Rye

I’m not suppose to have Gluten or anything with Lactose but since I never notice much reaction to eating those things I will trying them again when I have been on the diet for a while.

I have even gone through my kitchen and thrown away any temptations of food that was not on my list (and gave away what anyone would want). My 21-Day book and diet still works great for my FODMAP plan. I just have to substitute a few things here and there but since that book was suppose to help people with gut issues and IBS then it is pretty much the same as some of my FODMAP books. Yay, because there is one dish I LOVE and I really need to share it with you guys soon.

I want to feel better! I don’t want to end up with more problems – especially chronic headaches! Damn that was an awful few weeks! Wish me luck!
