Makeup Junkie

October 19, 2014

Okay, it’s been awhile again. I’m just not motivated to be on the web lately. It’s not as if there hasn’t been plenty to write and blog about. I’m sssoooo lazy! orz

First thing first, my makeup craze! I have been buying all kinds of makeup lately and it is really easy to spend over 100 bucks in one go. Here are all the things I like to use almost every day… of course I alternate things like colors and stuff but you get the idea.

I get my makeup in some of the most random places but others are obvious. The stores where these come from-

  • Walmart
  • Dillards
  • Ulta
  • Icing

The makeup that is in this pictures-

  • Nearly Nude Eye Shadows by Icing
  • 3 Look Makeup Book by Icing
  • Bronzed & Careless by Too Faced – Ulta
  • Revlon Colorstay 535 and 590 from Walmart
  • Loreal Paris 527 Sultry Seductress – Walmart
  • UrbanDecay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – Ulta
  • NYC Color Wheel 723A – Walmart
  • CoverGirl ExactEyelights – Walmart
  • Clinique Even Better 14 – Dillards
  • Clinique Almost Powder Makeup 02 – Dillards
  • Clinique 108 Bluch – Dillards
  • Loreal Paris Infallible 888 Eye Shadow – Walmart
  • Revlon Photoready 004 Purple Eye Liner – Walmart
  • UrbanDecay Black Velvet Eye Liner – Ulta
  • Tarte Precision Longwear Liner – Ulta
  • Maybelline Master Precise Eye Liner – Walmart

I know, seems like a lot but I promise that I don’t look like a drag queen. LOL I wear my makeup in moderation. I tend to buy long lasting stuff because of my cosplay.

What is your favorite kind of makeup and what do you tend to wear everyday? I always like to hear what other people use.

Up next, pictures of jewelry that I got at San Japan and for my Birthday. XD

I don’t wear makeup. Ever. I experimented with them in junior high and high school, but I never liked the feel of them. I have horrible fine motor skills, so my makeup application were always terrible. Plus, makeup is so expensive, and I can’t be arsed about spending ten hours in front of a mirror every day to get ready X_X; Plus, I’d rather stay natural and look the same like that instead of wearing makeup and then shocking people when I decide not to wear makeup . . . because I know sometimes the difference is quite huge. Then there’s the fact that my face looks absolutely fine without makeup, and I’m happy . . . so that’s all it matters LOL. I didn’t even wear makeup for my senior portrait . . . well, maybe lip gloss, but that was it. I did wear makeup to prom and that was the last time I wore them XD

Hum, well I don’t wear a lot of makeup to make it feel like it’s caked on. Most people think I don’t even wear makeup. It is really all about the brand and how you wear it but I get that it just isn’t for some people. Sometimes I just want powder and that’s it. lol However I never forget my moisturizer. XD

I don’t wear make-up on a daily basis because I’m too lazy, haha. I pretty much only have make-up for cosplay and for special events. Long lasting stuff is great for cosplay, especially at Texas cons! Why must so many of them be in the summer when it’s hot 🙁

LOL Yeah, I was like that until… well recently actually. 0_0 I’m not sure what made me get into makeup, ha. OMG yeah, the heavy duty stuff is what you need in Texas.

I owe you like a million comments. I’ve noticed you’ve left me a few & I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to return any of them.

aaaaahhh love the makeup collection you’ve accumulated. $100 isn’t bad for all that you got! Hah, I’ve spent more at Sephora for much less…..but it’s still keeping me going! hahaha…but I still want more….

I know Walmart is really cheap, but I’d encourage you to stop shopping there. Not only is there a documentary on how awful of a corporation it is, but just Googling, “why Walmart is the worst company” will generate tons of articles on why you should just say no to Walmart like the plague. I know I seem annoying for even pointing it out, but if I can get someone to think twice about the place, it can really make a difference. I think as a humanitarian, it’s justifiable since it’s a human rights issue.

Anywaayyy makeup! I’ve found that some of the more expensive products are much more worth it than the cheaper ones, with the exception of mascara. I’ve toned down my makeup over the years, sticking to eyebrows, loose powder, blush, & mascara on a daily basis (sometimes I’ll do eyeliner when I’m not as lazy). Makeup is a really powerful & beautiful thing. It can really raise someone’s self-esteem & give them a confidence boost. I’ve only slowly begun to accept that my makeup doesn’t make my face, it accentuates what I already have. 🙂 That’s a beautiful thing – to discover that you’re actually beautiful whether you have makeup on or not!
