My Week Off

My week off was great! I tried to do as much as possible without spending a lot of money and with getting plenty of rest. I was never bored because I had the energy to do a lot of my hobbies that I never have after work. Even on weekends, I usually spend those trying to regain my spoons for the next week. orz

First thing first, my bladder problem is not completely gone but it is under control more than it was. The urologist didn’t start me with much on my first visit, he wanted me to change my diet which made my laugh because I already have a hard diet thanks to my FODMAP stuff for my IBS. However, I agreed to try at least. He also put me on a pill that should help with the urge to pee every 5 minutes. I’m not sure it is working but meh, what can I say. He told me after a month if I’m not doing well still I just need to call his office and he will start me on the second stage of treatment without having me come to see him and wasting 50 bucks. I was happy about that. I don’t have the money to be doing tons of doctor visits that aren’t needed.

My Gyno visit was still bad news so I had to go in for another biopsy. I’m really sick of that. It is just a precaution but it is annoying because they told me 3 years ago it should be healed in about 2 years. Sigh. It hurt really bad this time too. They found a new spot and it must have been in a more sensitive area than last year. I wanted to cry when walking or sitting. If I stood still it would be okay or if I laid on my side. DX The best relief I got was sitting in a bath of lukewarm water and lets not even get started on how bad it hurt to use the bathroom. Ug Luckily it was much better the next morning.

Good news though, my regular doctor visit went very well. No abnormal readings on my blood work so I won’t have to worry about seeing my PCP for 6 months as long as nothing happens to me. I think I will be okay though. I found a probiotic that really helps me with my gut issues. I went through several of them until I found this little gem that you can get at walmart – Ultimate Flora Women’s Daily. I don’t know if it is fluke but once I started to take this again after trying a different brand, my gut has been happier and letting me have better bathroom visits. Yay! I hope it continues to be nice to me.

Now, about my week off!

As I said in my last post I was going to visit my sister in Fort Worth, Texas. That was a nice time. We ate a bunch of food, went to the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. They have a Japanese Garden there and we lucked out, the day we went to visit they were having a small Japanese festival with authentic dancing performances and little stalls of things to buy and look at. There was a tea ceremony area going on that I would have tried if I liked matcha and wasn’t too broken to sit like that, haha. They also had a few game stalls, it made me feel like I was in a shoujo manga when I saw those. Haha! I wish I had taken more pictures but I was more into just enjoying the experience.

We also did a short cosplay video on Sunday. It was an idea that a friend of mine gave me when I said I wanted to do a funny cosplay video next. Click on the image below to see the youtube video.

When I got home I ended up doing some more cosplay stuff, but just test stuff. I even tried to take out my sewing machine again but that did not last long because of my back. LOL I’m such an old lady. I need my mother to show me something on the machine again anyways, I forgot how to do it because I was only shown once and haven’t touched it in over a year. heh. Still, I was able to make a white eye patch for my test cosplay of Nino from Anonymous Noise – the In No Hurry To Shout version. I’m really enjoying that manga. I had started to read it a long time ago and forgot all about it until the anime came out. I had to go back and catch up. I’m a sucker for any story that has a singing character, that is why Full Moon wo Sagashite was one of my favorites too. XD

My next smaller sewing project it to try and make a Cheese-kun from Code Geass. I want to cosplay C.C. because I already have the whole outfit and not pictures. I might get some done this coming weekend if all the plans work out. My cheese-kun probably won’t look the best but it will be better than nothing. XD

After those four days of doing things I spent the rest of the days just taking it easy. Watching some TV shows and movies. The weather in town has been shitty so I got a little ill on Thursday. I took one trip to walmart on that day and realized it was a HUGE mistake. I was pouring sweat, beat red, a little sick to my stomach and getting lots of strange looks around me, haha. It sounds like heat stroke but that was not possible cause I was outside for like 5 seconds from my car to the building. I guess I was just hoping if I got up that day I would prove I wasn’t really feeling all that bad. It makes me wonder how I survive going to work on days like that. 0_0 It’s going to be a long hard summer, that is for sure.

  1. I haven’t been to the Fort Worth Gardens but I have been to the Dallas Botanical Gardens and they are gorgeous! I know the feeling about things not working out…I may have some procedures due to my gastrotract because of some concerns. I am scared of it, honestly. Gotta have a endoscope and also a ultrasound on my liver because of pain and other things. I am not ready to fully disclose this on my blog. I just fear it for now, but I know how you feel. I am always here

If only, but I’m starting to think the bladder issue is just a part of the rest of my issues. I’m tired of taking so many drugs for my issues.
      Thank you very much! ♥

  3. I have Endometriosis, so I completely understand what you’re going through as it impacts my bladder, bowels, and other parts of the region (on top of the pain associated with it). I’ve been to more doctors appointments in these last 2 years than I can keep track of, and it becomes emotionally exhausting when you just can’t find the answers or any relief. Hang in there. <3

Yikes, I have heard of that and how rough it is. Stay tough! ♥

  4. Ugh I miss going to Dallas and Fort Worth to sightsee. I LOVE the Dallas Arboretum and Aquarium! I told David, despite it being super hot already I’m going to have to make a trip up to go soon!

Haha sounds like a good plan. I hope I get to go up there again soon.

  5. I’ve been through some of the same issues, since I have Endometriosis and IBS. The pain can be overwhelming, some days, and very frustrating. All you can do is learn to listen to your body. :/
