Time for Thanks

Halloween is over so we are to now give thanks for Thanksgiving. 🙂

First, I’m very thankful for the fact that my grandfather made it through his horrible ordeal with being sick and in the hospital for over 2 weeks. He is doing much better now, he is back to walking on his own and doing little things here and there. Slowly gaining as much strength as an 80+ year old man can after that ordeal.

Before I get more into the blog post I just want to say that I have been reading people’s blog posts, but for some reason I was unable to make a comment on them. I’m not sure if it was a wordpress bug or my computer. I ran some scans on my computer to be sure, but didn’t find anything. I’m hoping I can comment on them the next time I go around to visit blogs.

I think in my last post I talked about the hand tremor. Well it seems I got some bad weakness or something in my hands, especially in my right hand. Today they have been hurting with random sharps pains, making me not want to hold anything. I keep dropping things like food utensils, pens, my hair brush and more. I was use to dropping small things, it was annoying but I sort of put it off to not paying much attention and letting them slip. The other day I was carrying around my camera. I hold that thing as if it was my baby. I felt that I had it in my right hand with a firm grip but before I knew it was was watching it fall to the ground. I was in shock. I got lucky that it didn’t break or get scratched since I was on soft dirt but that was an awful feeling. That means I need to wear that strap from now on.

Two more months until I see that Rheumatologist. I hope he can figure something out.

I can’t wait until I can get some time off from work. I think I have been run dry. I’m actually starting to dread going to work, I don’t even dislike the work. I’m just that tired. I haven’t had a day off since April and I have been working so much over time due to losing my co-worker and our go-live to the new system. Once they hire someone knew and they are comfortable enough in the job I gotta put in for some much needed time off or I’m gonna go nuts.

Oh yeah, I’m not sure if I mentioned this before – if I did then oopppss sorry for the repeat – I went to our San Angelo Comic Con. I didn’t think I would get the chance to go but I made it to see Johnny Yong Bosch. He is one of my favorite voice actors in the anime world. He played Lelouch from Code Geass, Izaya from Durarara, Ichigo from Bleach, Renton from Eureka Seven, Kei from Ajin, and many many others. I got to see his panel, he was pretty funny so I’m glad I got to go. I also got his autograph on a Lelouch poster – Join the Rebellion!

So now I have two autographs, Johnny and Spike Spencer. I hope I can get some more in the future. I’m good at missing out. Ha!

I updated my Cosplay – Future Plans – page. I know there were things on the last one that I didn’t remember about. Stupid me, deleted it before I copied it down – ha! I did get a list of ones that I really hope I can do. They are simple but they are all characters I love, and most of them at a respectable age for me. I know in cosplay, it doesn’t really matter, but part of the reason I love to cosplay is to find characters I can semi relate too. Not so much in features but in other things. However, there are time I just do it before I love the character. XD

One of the newest ones is Moriko Morioka. She is from the new anime series, Life of an MMo Junkie. I almost didn’t watch this anime and that would have been a HUGE mistake. I just love her! She is a 30 year old neet, playing MMOs, but is not just some loser. I’ve got some good ides on cosplaying her already.

If there is a character you think I should cosplay, let me know. I would like to hear what people have to say. I might not be able to do it, but I can always try.

  1. Johnny Yong Bosch will forever be Vash the Stampede from Trigun to me <3 Regardless, I am glad that your grandfather is making a great recovery! I dealt with losing grandparents and it isn't nice or pretty 🙁 Never ready for death, honestly.

You'd make a cute Futuba Sakura, Ami Mizuno, and possibly Sayaka Miki

I think the first thing I heard him in (and remembered) was Ichigo from bleach but I really think he did a great job with Lelouch considering how much I loved Lelouch’s Japanese voice actor. I was so happy the dub choice was not a bad one. Yeah, I lost both my grandparents on my dad side, but I think if I lose the ones on my mom’s side it is going to hit me hard because I’m so close to them. Oh good idea, I knew you would pick Futuba after what you told me on my Alexandra cosplay. XD Thanks!

Hey, a weird comment for you. When I was about 12 years old I had a card captor sakura website on angelfire. One of your sister’s fics got put up on it, and it was so long ago I’m really not sure if I got permission to use it or not. Though it was credited, and had links back I just wanted to retroactively apologize for kid me being a huge dumbass as I’m about 80% sure I did not ask at the time. The site has been defunct for years and inaccessible, but I recently got an email from angelfire so I logged in and now I’m sorta just tracking people down to apologize to, and see how they are doing 20+ years down the road. Uh, again sorry for a weird unsolicited comment. Your cosplay stuff id great! And I really admired both you and your sister’s writing from back in the day (if only I’d done that more respectfully aha;;). I hope you had a great thanksgiving!

LOL Your username, I totally didn’t read that right the first time. I think we are all dumb children. XD I can’t say for sure for my sister but I’m think she wouldn’t have minded since you didn’t claim it as your own and put credit. I never care if people share my stuff or re-post as long as there is proper credit. I’m really surprised you found me but then again I suppose I do have some links on our page. XD Thank you for liking my cosplay ♥ Also the compliment on our writing. Stay in touch! ♥

It’s been a while, thanks for visiting my blog every so often. I have not been keeping up with keeping in touch with blogging friends as much. You’ve had a lot of changes since I last visited. Yes I did updated my link to you to Sucks about your right hand not being able to hold stuff that well. Hope you can get help for that like from a physical therapist or someone.

Johnny Yong Bosch is so cool! I love how he played Vash the Stampede from Trigun especially. It’s so cool you got to meet him in person, hear him speak, and get his autograph. I haven’t watched anime in a long time, so not sure about what characters to cosplay. Lindsey Stirling is so cool!!! I love her youtube videos. <3

LOL Yeah, I have been busy deleting stuff. XD Thanks for the update to my url!
Yeah, he was really funny too in person. He stories were entertaining.

I’m glad your grandpa is doing much better! That must have been scary to know that he had to be in the hospital for that long. I hope he continues to get better!

Oh wow, I hope the Rheumatologist figures out what’s up with your hand tremors. That sounds terrible to deal with random sharp pains and to drop things. It would make me so paranoid about things I’m holding. I’ve dropped my DSLR before too, and it’s definitely not a good feeling! Good thing those are typically built to be tough.

That’s also a long time to go without a break! I can understand being short-staffed, but it’s still not a good thing for a company to make someone work that much. It really wears you down and causes burn out. Letting people take time off is actually better for productivity! I hope you’ll be able to take some time off soon.

Ooh, that sounds fun to go to your local comic con. We’re about to have an Anime con in our city, that I’ll be going to. I’m the same way in that I like finding characters that I relate to. I also tend to stick to a “type” that I think I can pull off, even though I know I don’t have to.

I hope things will get better for you!

It really was. I was lucky that I work at the hospital and could pop in and visit him pretty often.
Yeah, thank god they are built pretty tough! That was scary. lol
I agree, my boss is nuts but apparently I’m getting a new one soon so maybe it can get better for me.
      Thank you ♥

  5. I’m so relieved to hear that your Grandfather is improving. <3

Hard to believe how fast this year has gone by. Already December, approaching Christmas?
