Welcome to Hell

Ops went a whole month with no update.

Well, I have good reason. It has been kind of rough these past few weeks. The lumbar puncture I went through put me out of commission for almost two weeks. The puncture itself wasn’t so bad but the after effect was horrible. I’ve had bad headaches before but nothing like what this lumbar puncture gave me.

The good news is I have no current inflammation going on in my spinal fluid. So that means no MS yay! Thank the lord, that made me nervous. Bad news to all this means I’m still a fibromyalgia patient with no real answers as to why I’m in so much pain and no good way to treat it.

I saw my new PCP on Tuesday. I think I’m really going to like her.  She is very thorough. It took awhile to get in with her but she spent a good amount of time with me and I felt it was very easy to talk to her.

My old PCP was great, don’t get me wrong, but I think I deal with women way better than men. I had to change my PCP because my old one moved just in case you were curious.

My new PCP really wants me to stop eating wheat. She said stuff that I always thought but never had a doctor actually say it. I always get a positive reading for wheat on an allergen test. They kept putting it off as a false positive because I don’t have any regular allergy reactions when eating wheat. However, it could be slowly causing me a lot of issues with my gut and now with this fibromyalgia. It is going to be hard to follow but I’m really going to try again.

She also wants me to try and lose 10lbs by the end of October. 0_0

The steroids bloated me up so I really want to lose about 20lbs but 10 is a good goal to start with.

In other news!

My town went through a water crisis and I don’t mean a low water crisis but a contamination crisis.

Boiling water for everything is such a pain. You don’t realize how much you rely on running water until you can’t use it. ARG! Thank God it only lasted a week.

Then to top everything off my car broke again! Costing me around 500 bucks to get it fixed. This made me go to a car dealer to see what kind of car I can get with certain prices to get an idea on what to save for and such. I have a feeling my car is heading for the trash heap. I found a place that would do 1,000 down and then work with me on a monthly price for a decent car. So I also started to apartment hunt. The place I’m living in is bleeding me dry and right now even a 200-300 bill for a car will not be doable until I move somewhere smaller/cheaper.

To say the least, I’m pretty stressed with my health issues and all my bills and money concerns.

The good news from all this is I got to see my sister again. I even took an extra day off from work and enjoy my time with her. I hope I get a chance to go up to her new house soon. It sucks not living in the same town/city as her anymore. We had a nice time just talking and hanging out.

Also, my new costume is done and ready. I’m just waiting on cooler weather (without the rain) to do a photo shoot in it. The costume is a lot and would make me die to wear in the heat plus I want to loose a few more pounds.

Test shot without the red contacts, I’m excited for this one.

P.S. My reseller account has almost expired and I don’t plan to renew. I want to just get a cheap shared hosting account for this blog. I plan to keep the same host because they are awesome (if you want to know a good host I recommend crocweb they have been so great to me.) I’m just warning everyone because there might be some strange downtime when I do this transition. Thanks!

Well, I changed my mind. I’m keeping my reseller account and instead I’m going to build a hosting website for free and cheap hosting. Thanks!

  1. GIRL, you’ve been going through so much!! I’m so sorry to hear all of this. BUT, glad you’ve found a PCP that you like (that’s so important!) and I’m really hopeful that cutting out wheat and possibly some other inflammatory foods will help some of your symptoms! It’s amazing how healing food can be. As for the car… NOTHING is worse than spending money on car repairs. That’s just painful! But I hope you have so much fun with your sister and go enjoy yourself. You DESERVE it!

    1. Yeah, I was so nervous when my old PCP was moving but I remembered her at the last minute and was so glad she was still taking new patients. Thanks ♥

  2. I am sorry to hear about the lumbar puncture. Hope you’ll continue to have good news. Sending you lots of positive energy.

Ugh, I hate it when unexpected things happen. Hope you get that car at a good deal.

Glad to hear you enjoyed spending time with your sister. Sometimes, we don’t need the whole shabang for hosting. Shared hosting is just as great :).

    1. Yeah, I was going to change the hosting but then realized it wouldn’t be much cheaper cause to get their super cheap deal you have to pay for three years haha. Maybe next time! I’m too lazy to move everything right now.

  3. Ahhh, I’m so sorry to hear this 🙁 It sounds really painful and I can’t even imagine how bad it must’ve been, but you’ve been holding out strong – go you! Sending you a lot of love!!

I can’t wait to see the photoshoot – i bet it’ll be awesome.

    1. Thank you very much ♥
      Yes, I’m excited too 🙂

  4. I totally feel you about bills, car insurance and just money in general. Hugs.

    1. Adulting sucks

  5. I am sorry to hear about your lumbar puncture causing after affects, I have had a few and usually have the same after affects within 30 minutes to an hour up to 10 days to a month later. It is not fun. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with Fibromyalgia and it’s really a constant struggle. The pain wears away at you. I hope you find some answers and get the relief that you need. How scary about your towns water crisis. We had one as well but it was of the shortage variety as our summer was super hot and dry this year.

    1. Man, I thought it was just going to happen if I wasn’t laying flat long enough. Apparently not! Hello there fellow Fibro Warrior. It is nice to meet someone else who has it. I have yet to really know anyone before.

  6. I’m really sorry to hear about your health issues 🙁 I’m no fan of undergoing medical procedures, and the recovery period for your lumbar puncture sounds so painful. I hope the pain eases up during the next few days though! Sending lots of good vibes your way for speedy recovery <3
